Description: A beautiful very fine banknote from Egypt. This is the February 7, 1950 one hundred pounds. The banknote is purple and green on the front. It has the image of King Farouk the first in a circular frame to the right and a green colored minaret to the left. The note is written in Arabic on the front with the serial number being in both Arabic and English. The back of the note is purple in color and depicts the image of the mosque and mausoleum of the Mamluk Sultan Q'atibay. The back is written in English and shows the name of the National Bank of Egypt and the denomination both in numerals and spelled out. The note has a watermark showing the head of the Sphinx. This particular note has the serial number 010876 and is series CD/2. The note was issued by the National Bank of Egypt and is signed by F. W.
