Description: A beautiful choice crisp uncirculated banknote from Egypt. This is the Cairo 20 January 1956, very desirable 25 piastres banknote issued by the National Bank of Egypt. The banknote is green in color on multi colored background. It depicts the image of Tutankhamen facing forward within an oval frame to the right of the front. The back shows a mosque with Lotus flowers on both sides. The front also indicates that the note was issued according to the decree dated 25th June 1898. This particular note has the serial number 909906 and is from the series (Zayn Reh) ZR/43, which is displayed twice in black lettering on the front and not on the back. The note has no watermark. It is signed by Ahmed Zaky Saad the governor of the National Bank of Egypt at the time.
