Description: Beautiful proof silver coin from Egypt. This is the 1981 (1401 AH) One Egyptian Pound, nice size, silver coin commemorating World Food Day on October 16, 1981 (16/10/1981). The coin depicts the image of an ancient Egyptian deity holding a food tray in center with farm animals to the right and a man harvesting grain to the left on the obverse. The obverse has the notation "WORLD FOOD DAY" in English and Arabic as well as the date 16/10/1981 all along the edge. The back shows the denomination in the center with the date of issue and indication that the coin is from Arab Republic of Egypt. The coin has mirror like fields and great eye appeal. It has a reeded edge and is graded by ANACS as PF69 DCAM (Deep Cameo). The coin comes in a plastic slab so labeled. It is KM-523, should weigh ~15 grams of 0.72 silver and measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
