2004 Breininger Redware Large Egg Yellow Green Brown Sgraffito Flowers Leaves

Description: This is a rather large and unusual redware egg made in the studios of Lester Breininger. The glazed egg is beautifully decorated with a sgraffito design showing flowers on two opposing sides with an additional flower at the top of the egg. The egg is yellow in color with the flowers colored in brown and orange and leaves colored in green. There is also sgraffito branches or thin l=curved lines with dots along them in brown. The egg, is made to stand on a flattened end and that end is marked as to the maker and the date. The egg is marked "LB et. al. 04" for Lester Breininger and company 2004 on the flat surface where it stands. This is a very nice, and unusual both in size and shape, redware egg with a beautiful design and colors. The egg is entirely glazed and looks great.
