Breininger Redware Yellow-Brown Egg Sgraffito Christmas Angel Playing Trumpet

Description: A nice size redware egg made by Lester Breininger. The glazed egg is beautifully decorated with a sgraffito design showing a Christmas angel flying while playing the trumpet. The angel has wings on his back and he is flying among brown stars. The egg is yellow in color with the angel outlined in brown and dressed in orange colored garb. The egg has blue sponged highlights giving the effect of the sky. The bottom of the egg has a flattened base and is brown in color. The egg is signed "LB 96" for Lester Breininger 1996 on the flat surface where it sits. This is a very nice redware Christmas egg with a beautiful design and colors.
