Antique Cast Brass Bell Marked "10" and Having a Long Brass Handle

Description: Antique brass bell having a brass handle. Ther bell, which is made of cast brass, has the raised number 10 on its exterior. The long the long, shaped cast brass handle has a ball-shaped end with a round hole in it suggesting the bell was originally hung on a rod with similar bells possibly of various sizes. The bell has what appears to be the original clapper and has a very nice ring. The piece is nicely cast and looks good. This is a nice unusual antique brass bell. Date: Unknown but most likely mid to late 1800s.  Origin: Purchased at an antique auction in southeaster Pennsylvania.  Size: The bell measures ~6" high with the opening of the bell is ~3" in diameter and the bell being ~2 1/8" in height.
