The scale has hooks and rings. The brass scale is double-sided and weighs up to 20 kilos on one side and 160 kilos on the other. The piece shows signs of age and oxidation throughout. It is known as fur trapper's scale because it was capable of weighing large amounts of furs but was light enough to be carried easily. A true antique that appears to be complete and in good condition.
