Description: A early 20th century dark brown lead glazed redware creamer attributed to Henry Schofield Pottery in Cecil County Maryland. This glazed barrel shaped beaker of drinking implement has a flat round base with slightly rounded sides rising to a plain rim. The shoulder is decorated with two raised parallel rings. The piece is glazed inside and out with the bottom being unglazed. The piece has the typical Schofield dark brown/black foot ring and is decorated with stamped with round flowers. The piece also has the usual rough surface again typical of Schofield primitive pottery. A nice antique piece of redware from around the Mason-Dixon line.
