Antique Painted Stoneware Apple Form Still Coin Bank Large Horizontal Coin Slot

Description: An antique painted stoneware still coin bank. The bank is shaped as an apple and is painted in light greenish yellow and red colors. The surface of the bank is smooth to mimic the surface of an apple. The bank has an apple shape with a flattened bottom, having a recessed center with a small hole in the center, on which it can stand. It does have a horizontal coin slot at the top and a short stem in the center of the top of the apple. Red and Greenish yellow in color the bank has a few spots where the color is scratched off. The piece also has a few stains and several spots where the surface is uneven and shows crevasses that are original to the making as you would expect from an antique primitive piece of pottery. Examination of the surface reveal the presence of a few minor surface chips to the color.
