Antique Silver Pill Box Nice Scroll Design with Flowers Marked 31 Italy 800

Description: Antique small rectangular silver pill box. The pill box has a very elaborate scroll design on the top and bottom which includes flowers. The sides are also decorated with what appears to be cut curved lines for decoration. The box has a hinged lid with a central thumb piece while the bottom portion of the box has a small protrusion to help open the box in conjunction with the thumb piece in the lid. The interior of the box is undecorated and has markings as follows; the lid is marked 31 ITALY 800 while the bottom is marked 31 indicating that both halves were designed to be together. The box has acquired a nice dark age patina or as we like to say it is tarnished and could use a good cleaning to bring out its full beauty, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner.
