Antique Small Redware Glazed Apple Butter Crock Southeastern Pennsylvania
Description: Redware antique small Apple Butter crock with beautiful reddish-brown colored glaze on both the exterior and interior. The crock has a beautiful ovoid shape with a flat base and a simple molded rim. The sides are rounded and is undecorated. The crock has no other decoration, but has a beautiful classic shape and color. The base is unglazed and shows the typical colors of old unglazed redware. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely was made in late 1800s or early 1900s. Origin: Southeastern Pennsylvania.Size: 3 7/8" diameter on top, ~2 3/4" diameter on bottom, and is ~4 1/4" tall. The piece weighs a bit over 14 ounces.
