Description: A beautiful 1706 copper medal from the Italian Papal States. This medal shows the bust of Pope Clement XI facing left on the obverse. The pope's bust is surrounded by the legend "CLEMENS*XI*P*M*AN*VI*" along the edge. There is the inscription HERAMUS under the bust. The reverse has the image of the port of Ripetta with the legend "COMMODITATI.ET.ORNAMENTO" above it along the edge. There is also the date 1706 in roman numerals MDCCVI in the bottom of the obverse. The medal weighs ~22.1 grams and measures ~39 mm in diameter. This is a beautiful medal with well done details and having a beautiful chocolate toning throughout.
