Beautiful Oval Enameled Box The First Presbyterian Church Wilmington, DE By Crummles & Co. England
Description: This is an oval-shaped enamel on copper trinket box. The box has a hinged lid that is nicely decorated with a colorful transfer image of brown building surrounded by trees. The box is light blue colored on the outside and white on the inside. The inside of the lid has information about the scene on the lid written in detail "The First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, Delaware 1740 N.S.C.D.A." The box has an oval flat base with rising curved sides. The bottom of the inside is undecorated. Both top and bottom are fitted with brass rings having a hinge on the back and a thumb piece on the front of the top portion. The inside of the box is also enameled and has a white coloring. The bottom of the box is also light blue in color and is marked as to the maker. The brass ends of both the top and bottom are clean, shiny, and add immensely to the beauty of this box. This is a very nice piece and would make a nice addition to your collection of small enameled boxes. Please careful
