Kukicha Twig Tea - in the fall Japanese tea farmers harvest tea twigs for Kukicha, the “peasant’s drink”, so-called because farmers drank it after selling the leaves as a cash crop. Carefully selected based on size and age then gently roasted to bring out its rich flavor. Because caffeine is concentrated in the leaves, twig tea is very mild and can be drunk even at night. Oolong Tea - Oolong tea is neither black tea nor green tea, but is a category of its own. Green tea is unoxidized or barely oxidized, black tea is fully oxidized, and traditional Oolong tea is only partially oxidized. This partial oxidation is what gives this unique tea its characteristic color and taste. Prepare Hot: Bring one cup of cold water to a boil. Steep the desired amount of tea for five minutes or until the desired strength is achieved. Brew as much or as little as you like with our convenient resealable bag.
