Three Bundles

In February 2008, during a trip to Shyira, Rwanda, a place nestled in the northwestern part of the country bordering the Republic of Congo and home to the majestic Mountain Gorillas, I came across a sight that was both simple and striking. Amidst the aged structures and the varied history of the region, the freshly cut bundles of hay stood out vividly.I captured this contrast in "Three Bundles." The fresh hay, with its vibrant hue, juxtaposed against the weathered building, told a story of time and resilience. But what added an extra layer of depth was the blue color of the door, a detail that tied the whole scene together. This image is a testament to the beauty that can be found in everyday moments, where the old and the new come together in harmony.
