Citrus x latifolia Bearss Seedless Lime The lime with many names: Persian, Tahitian or Bartender's lime. Regardless of what you call it, this lush tree bears heavy crops of juicy limes with a strong fresh flavor. Interestingly, the fruit stays green in warmer tropical climates and turns yellow when ripe in cooler California climates. Good for containers, the crop stores well on trees when protected from severe frosts. The fruit has a smooth, thin rind and very juicy, acidic flesh and few seeds. They bloom and produce year round and the fruit is best used in drinks and cooking. They are a great producer that begins to steadily put out citrus in their third year.
