Graphic Hamadan Rug - 4'6 x 6'10

This Hamadan rug was handwoven during the middle of the 20th century. It features a central medallion flanked by two teardrop medallions that appear more like eagles with their wings spread out against a highly contrasting black ground. The inner perimeter reflects potions of the central motif but added jagged edges near the center give the impression of two open mouths competing to swallow the central medallion.  Framed by a red ground main border of long-armed palmettes In good condition with all over even wear.
