Cute Hamadan Rug - 2’5 x 2’9

This Hamadan rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the twentieth century (1925-1950). It features alternating rows of zoomorphic botehs on a coral ground. It is encapsulated by a striped octagonal border with polychrome triangles around the interior and blue cornices each with a single leaf. Framed by a main blue border sandwiched between two red "minor" borders of the same width. Nicely embellished with poofs of multicolored wool on one end. In very good condition with a full meaty pile.
