Golden Hoops Pendant

This delicate pendant started out as silver clay. I cut out hoops of clay, then an oval that would be in proportion. After firing in a 1650 degree kiln for 2 hours I burnished pieces of 24K Gold foil on the 999 silver hoops and oval. This an ancient Korean process called Keumboo which gives the jewelry a mixed metal appearance. I painted all the pieces with patina to make the textures pop. It is simple but also quite dressy and stylish. I connected them with sterling silver jump rings and finally added an18 inch sterling silver chain. Dimensions: 1 and 1/2 inches long, 1/2 inch wide.
