Thoughtful Owl

I have an owl template of this thoughtful owl. I made it into a mold and pressed silver clay into the mold to get the impression. After refining, it was kiln fired at 1650F for 2 hours. I burnished 24K Gold foil onto the chest feathers, an ancient Korean technique. I painted the face and wings with patina for accent. People love owls. They are so regal looking, they are featured in stories and legends. One of my favorite owls was Owl in the Winnie the Pooh books my mother read to me when I was growing up. Dimensions : 1 and 1/4 inches X 3/4 inches. 16 inch Sterling Silver chain.
