1950s Angelus Datoluxe
Why This Watch Matters The Datoluxe is everything that its name implies. This Angelus features a split-number date display and a charming moon-phase indication, all in a 35 mm case with faceted lugs. The Full Story Angelus is known for being the first manufacture to offer a split-number date in a wristwatch, which is one of the most notable features in the Datoluxe you see here. Additionally, this watch features a moon-phase aperture, which when paired with the date was very popular in the 1940s and '50s. Furthermore, the 35 mm chrome-plated case was designed with beautifully faceted lugs, which enhance the overall elegance of this dress watch. While we don’t normally recommend a chrome-plated case, we had to make an exception for this one.
