     INTRODUCTION Take control of the load that you are hauling with the Mopar Trailer Brake Controller, for the 2020+ JL Wrangler and Gladiator. This Mopar Performance upgrade fits into the dash panel in place of the 12V outlet or lighter, and looks like it was there from the factory, no more drilling into the dash and hanging third party controllers that get bumped around. No splicing needed, this controller is designed to plug and play with the Mopar tow wiring, and allows you to send the proper stopping power to your trailers brakes. Plug and play for Automatic Transmission Jeeps with factory Tow Package with 4 pin and 7 pin trailer wiring. Proportional trailer brake system for select Jeep vehicles Controller and status display mount to the left of the steering wheel in the dashboard. Included control lever activates the trailer brakes independently of the truck's brakes. Amount of brake force the trailer uses can be adjusted by the driver depending on load requirements. If you do not see your vehicle listed, use our Year/Make/Model search located towards the top of your screen to find products tailored to your specific vehicle!   INSTALLATION Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.   THINGS TO KNOW For automatic transmission vehicles only Gladiator JT's built on or before January 08, 2020 may require an update (TSB # 08-102-20) to update the ABS module with new software. This update will be covered under the Mopar warranty. The Mopar trailer brake kit will work without any issue on JT's built after this date. If your 2020+ Wrangler JL does not have sales code ADH, an extra harness (Part number 82216416AA) is required which can be purchased at your local Jeep dealer. See photo below.
