Ear Power, Erik Hanson, Thursday, 4:00-5:30

This class will meet weekly on Thursdays running April 10th to June 12th. A class that helps every musician answer the question (that every musician should be asking): "What am I hearing?" Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced: Whatever your current ability is with recognizing music and its essential elements - notes, chords, tonalities, tension/release, and harmonizations - this class provides a sequential system to improve your ear power. Develop your understanding of sounds and enable your improvisation to be dictated by hearing (versus mental calculations).Class work provides students with aural discovery and teaches multi-leveled exercises that produce skill progression at any pace. This course is designed by Erik Hanson based on personal ear training successes and fifteen years of helping adult learners do the same.
