Antique Egyptian 800 Silver Enameled Scarab Brooch Enameled Wings of Horus What a gorgeous & artfully rendered late Victorian time period Egyptian Revival brooch. This brooch measures right at 58.91mm wide, 15.94mm high at its highest point and about 6.55mm deep at the center - not including the pin mechanism. The only significant and notable issue on this brooch is the pin has been cut down on this piece so determining actual age by pin length is not possible without being able to identify the maker & hallmarks on the piece - something I have not been able to accomplish. This lovely brooch depicts a scarab (rebirth and resurrection) and the wings of Horus (the ancient Egyptian falcon god) and incorporates a pair of mirror image Cobras (I believe) which would by the symbol of royal power and protection.The wings and snakes are enamel and highlight Red, Blue, Light Blue and light Green in color. All of the enamel is in excellent overall condition. The center scarab is a lovely
