Antique French Louis Philippe Mahogany Veneer Commode with Marble Top

This is an antique French Louis Philippe mahogany veneer commode with four drawers and a Belgian marble top. The main body of the chest has three drawers, as well as a narrow drawer at the very top. The drawers use a key-pull to open and two keys are included. Some additional features of this beautiful chest of drawers are the divided top drawer (shown) and the beautiful bullnose finish to the edge of the honed marble top. The marble has tones of charcoal, dove gray, black and white. This piece measures 52" W x 24.5" D x 38.5" H. The marble is approximately 1" thick. The marble does show some surface wear, but the coloring disguises most to the eye. No major blemishes present. The veneer is in good condition, with some minor surface wear present. The drawers feature dovetail construction and there is a scratch in the veneer of the middle drawer (shown - images 7, 17,18) as well as a split in the veneer on the side of the piece (shown - image 5).
