Antique French Louis Philippe Mahogany Veneer Commode with Marble Top

This is an antique French Louis Philippe mahogany veneer commode with five drawers and a Belgian marble top. The main body of the chest has three drawers, as well as a narrow drawer at the very top and a "hidden" drawer at the very bottom, between the front legs. The drawers use a key-pull to open and two keys are included. The marble top has tones of charcoal, dove gray, black and white. This piece measures 51.25" W x 23.5" D x 36.5" H. The marble is approximately 1" thick. The marble does show some surface wear, but the coloring disguises most to the eye. No major blemishes present. The veneer is in fair condition, with some losses and surface wear present (shown) as well as a split in the veneer on one side (shown). The drawers feature dovetail construction.
