DATES Friday May 9, 2025 | 1:30 - 2:30 DESCRIPTION How to join yarns is one of the most frequently asked questions I hear. If you search YouTube there are dozens of videos claiming the best way to make your joins invisible. We will try 3 ways to join yarns: spit splicing, Russian Join, and Magic Loop (or Magic Knot). HOMEWORK (Required!!!) With a smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn that has at least some wool in it, cast on 20 stitches and knit about 2 inches in Stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row); do not bind off. MATERIALS NEEDED Your swatch Tapestry needle, scissors SKILLS LEARNED Spit splicing Russian Join Magic Loop (Magic Knot) SKILLS NEEDED You should already know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.
