Shetland Sweater in Fig

Shetland wool is an ideal fiber for cool weather. It has a reputation for warmth and hardiness, and is shorn from resilient sheep in remote counties of Scotland. Once the wool is dyed and milled, these richly-colored yarns then travel to a nearby knitter that has been an industry leader for over 100 years. There, the sweaters are knit in a “fully fashioned” method - a traditional technique that results in a completely seamless garment.  Dark and rich colors collide in these yarns, giving this sweater a multi-hued appearance. Variegated reds, purples, and blacks are woven together and create a melange of colors.
