Alder Barred

Alder Barred is an 6.5" tall owl made of all natural materials. This elegant and minimal plush owl reminds us of the owl that sat outside our kitchen window perched on a rhododendron to have breakfast with us one morning. Alder is made with our classic teddy bear cotton fabric, a cotton flannel fabric for the belly, green velvet for the beak, and a golden yellow mohair for the collar. The body is stuffed with 100% wool ethically sourced from US farms. The face is shaved to give it its unique texture and then hand embroidered.  When designing Alder we aimed for something that unmistakably represented an owl while keeping the overall silhouette simple. Our hope was that this would allow the materials and varieties of textures to shine, and the owl's personality would vary with each child's imagination. Alder is soft and firm--a perfect snuggling companion but also stands upright and looks lovely posing on a shelf when waiting to be played with. Specs:  Main fabric: 100% organic cotton T
