Alder Barred Second Edition

Alder Barred is an 6.5" tall owl made of all natural materials. This elegant and minimal plush owl reminds us of the owl that sat outside our kitchen window perched on a rhododendron to have breakfast with us one morning. This second edition of Alder is made with our classic teddy bear cotton fabric dyed with tea, a cotton flannel fabric for the belly, a yellow corduroy for the beak, and a silk cape in seafoam green with a flannel lining. The body is stuffed with 100% wool ethically sourced from US farms. The face is shaved to give it its unique texture and then hand embroidered.  When designing Alder we aimed for something that unmistakably represented an owl while keeping the overall silhouette simple. Our hope was that this would allow the materials and varieties of textures to shine, and the owl's personality would vary with each child's imagination.
