E. H Pohl California Desert Landscape Oil with view of the Mountains great frame

We are offering  An Original Landscape Oil on Canvasof the Borrego Desert with views to the Mountains by the well listed artist Ernest Pohl. The large gilt frame is fabulous.  There is a hand written note on the back of the painting "for Gerald Buckley" Gerald Buckley was a member of the California Center of the Arts. Ernest and his wife founded the La Jolla, California Art Center,  Ernest Pohl was a businessman who did pastel and Oil painting in his leisure time.  Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1874,   by 1915 he had settled in San Diego at 4468 Hortensia Street. he passed way in 1956. Approx. Dimensions: overall Height:  31 " overall Width:  39 " depth: 2 3/4" art height: 22 " art width:  30 1/4 " Approx. weight:  25 lbs.    Condition: This painting is in various conditions, with surface cracking to paint, and has some overpaint under black light, (see photo) it has been relined.  In a very heavy wood frame with a nice gilt gold surface; there is a foam-board protective back
