We are offering  An Original Oil on Canvastitled "Desert Smoke Trees" California Landscape Painting  by the well listed California plein air artist Ernest Pohl.  This Painting is likely of the Palm Springs area,  Where Smoke Trees are often seen. Ernest and his wife founded the La Jolla, California Art Center,  Ernest Pohl was a businessman  He did drawings pastels & oil paintings in his leisure time.  Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1874,   by 1915 he had settled in San Diego at 4468 Hortensia Street. he passed way in 1956. Approx. Dimensions: overall Height: 37" overall Width: 46 1/2" Depth: 3" art height: 30" art width: 39 1/4" Approx. weight:  15 pounds Condition: this painting is in great condition with a nice wood Gilt frame and. the canvas back is marked with title and artist name as well as an address.
