Red Forceps Centipede (Theatops spinicaudus)

Red forceps centipedes (Theatops spinicaudus) are a neat species from the southeastern US. They are a smaller species, rarely exceeding 3", but are attractively colored with varying shades of red and orange. These centipedes will accept a variety of small invertebrates as prey and are generally undemanding and easy to care for. Theatops aren't very commonly offered since, like most of our diminutive centipedes, they take a backseat to larger, more exciting species. However, for this exact reason I try to keep this species available regularly to give more hobbyists the opportunity to appreciate them. Currently available specimens are field-collected juveniles-adults.
