Decaf almost always has that specific decaf smell and flat taste to it.  But not so fast, this decaf is different. Our Samaria Farm EA Decaf was decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate, an organic compound derived from sugar cane, to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The EA process tends to leave a pleasantly sugary flavor. This coffee was initially wet processed by Samaria, which for them involves a 12-hour fermentation to break down the sticky fruit mucilage, then drying on the patio. Using this method results in a brewed cup that is both rich and flavorful.
