Kenya Kiambu Ndumberi Peaberry

Ndumberi Farmers Cooperative Society consists of "small-holder" farms, usually less than 1 hectare, and adjacent to their homes. Coffee is hand-picked, and then delivered to the factory where an intensive hand-sorting is completed. This is a peaberry grade from the Ndumberi site. Peaberries occur when only one of two seeds develops inside a coffee cherry, taking a small, rounded shape, rather than developing the normal flat side of a cherry with two coffee beans. The brewed cup is outstanding, with fruit flavors (Raspberry, Orange) in the cup and a baking spice (Clove, Cinnamon) aroma.  Region: Kiambu, Muranga Varietal: SL-28, SL-34 Grade: PeaberryProcess: Wet Process (Washed)Altitude: 1700 M Roast: Medium Light
