Simple, forgiving and richly familiar, it is a great example of the smooth, sweet and soft red fruit malt with a touch of floral notes that Taiwanese black teas are so famous for. (Along with its sister tea Peach Garden Milk Baozhong) We found this tea at a simple and unassuming multi-generational tea garden in Taoyuan on the border of more famous tea regions. The cheap cost comes from the fact that this place is anti-famous and most tea grown in the area is low quality agrochemical slathered slop produced for the beverage industry. The teas produced at this garden are clean, humbly solid and 'standard', which makes them a great choice for value and a consistent 'daily drinker' type of experience.
