Su San Pian's Roasted Oolong It is not often that you find an artisan that is at the top of his craft. We first met Su San Pian through a friend 3 years ago and we are finally ready to start sharing his teas. Born into the the famous Su tea family on Dong Ding Mountain, Su San Pian has honed his skills for his entire life. At our first meeting we found out that his teacher, his uncle, was the same Mr Su who roasts our Old Master Dong Ding series of teas! While many in his extended family have gone the conventional route, San Pian decided to follow a different path. All of his teas are grown in wild gardens, with no outside inputs.  What this means is that the material of his teas is pristine, and limited. The benefit of this limited nature of tea material however is that he controls the entire processing of the teas himself, doing every step of the processing personally.  What is created are teas that are unique in their quality and care.
