Earth, Wind & Fire Touch The World RIAA Gold Album Award

RIAA Gold album award for Earth, Wind & Fire's album Touch The World, which was released on Oct. 20, 1987. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on Jan. 18, 1988 for 500,000 copies sold. Produced by the late Maurice White of the group, the album peaked at  #3 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and #33 on the Top Pop Albums chart. Both "System Of Survival" and "Thinking Of You" went to #1 on the Billboard Dance Singles chart and also did well in Europe. The album was nominated for a Soul Train Award for Best R&B/Soul Album of the Year in 1988 as well.
