RIAA Gold Single award for Pointer Sisters hit "He's So Shy". Released on July 23, 1980 it was certified Gold by the RIAA on Nov. 25, 1980 for one million copies sold. Remember June Pointer (1953-2006) with this award. The track, which appeared on the Pointer Sisters Special Things album, hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, #1 in New Zealand and also charted in many other countries.
