Baby Bison

Sketch with pencil. This past summer, our family got to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon North Rim on our vacation. The drive from Utah was incredible. We drove through the desert, then the forest and meadows, and finally arrived at the Grand Canyon. In the meadow, we found a huge herd of bison with lots of calves! They were just adorable. I have been wanting to practice sketching so I put a sketch pad and pencil in my car to do a bit while I’m in the car line. This guy was the first one I had to draw. It’s fun to try new things, but it’s even more fun to see that getting better in one medium helps me to be better in other mediums.
