Sparrow 2

Watercolor on Arches watercolor paper. I serve with an organization called Sparrow. During Sparrow Restore, we meet on Monday nights with women in tough situations. We have dinner, talk about our identity in Jesus, and do an art project. We do self portraits, needle felting, watercolor, mosaics, abstract acrylic paintings, and soft pastels. Art is worship, art is self-expression, art is healing, and art breaks down barriers. It has been one of my biggest honors in life to be apart of this. God has restored my own dignity after abuse, and He has given me a strong sense of purpose and confidence in who He made me to be. It is incredible to see God move and to experience Him. I had to paint another sparrow to express my joy for what God has done through this program.
