The second in Braynard's series on classic ocean liners, this book is divided into two sections tracing the history of each ship. Due to Braynard's wealth of ship knowledge, the book is packed with insights into the design and short history of both ships such as why CONTE DI SAVOIA's over-hyped gyroscope failed to calm motion at sea. Included are many pages of b&w photos and a special color section. I especially enjoyed the color photos of REX and CONTE DI SAVOIA brochures. The book is new-old-stock from the Frank Braynard Collection and is in MINT condition.
