Canadian Pacific: A large (30" by 40") fold-out deck plan from the late 1940s or early 1950s for the sister ships EMPRESS OF FRANCE and EMPRESS OF CANADA.The liners first sailed in 1928 as DUCHESS OF BEDFORD and DUCHESS OF RICHMOND.Six decks are shown in detail with all sorts of color-coding indicating cabin types and public rooms. Photos line the sides, unidentified as to vessel. First Class views show the Lounge, Dining Room, Cocktail Room, Empress Room, and two different cabins. Tourist Class images include Lounge, Children's Room, and two different cabins.A special treat are the photos on the flip side. There is a large photo of the EMPRESS OF CANADA at Montreal. Five photos show passengers enjoying the decks. Along the bottom are four more interior views: First Class Card Room, Promenade Deck Entrance and Nursery plus the Tourist Class Dining Room.Soon after the plan was issued the EMPRESS OF CANADA was destroyed by fire at Liverpool. The ship heeled over and caused quite a ruckus
