Canadian Pacific: A large (30" by 40") deck plan dated April 1938 for the fabulous EMPRESS OF JAPAN. The Pacific speed-record-breaking ship took her maiden voyage in June 1930.  Eight decks are shown covering four classes - First, Tourist, Third, and Steerage.  On the back side are photos. Views from First Class show the Smoking Room, Dining Salon, Lounge, a cabin for two, and the bedroom of a de luxe suite. Tourist Class pics show the Dining Salon, Lounge, and a cabin. The EMPRESS OF JAPAN's handsome lines are revealed in a portrait.  I personally love the fantasy Oriental-deco decor, so much so that I have booked (in my imagination) one of the two de luxe suites. From the photos, it looks like Norma Desmond had a hand in the design.  Fair condition with wear.
