Blue Star Line: A sixteen-page interiors brochure from the mid-1950s for the combo liners ARGENTINA STAR, BRASIL STAR, URUGUARY STAR, and PARAGUAY STAR. The ships were built in the late 1940s and carried sixty passengers in an elegant First Class. The veneered interiors with overstuffed seating looks straight out of Cunard. Large b&w photos, unidentified as to ship, show the Lounge, a double bed cabin, Smoking Room, a single cabin, Dining Saloon, the large deck house, Sports Deck, Nursery, a triple berth cabin, and the Smoking Rooming fireplace. A ship portrait shows off handsome lines while a route map indicates Blue Star sailed world-wide, although these four sisters stayed on the England to South America route. The PARAGUAY STAR was destroyed by fire in 1969 while the others were scrapped in 1972. Good condition with loose pages.
