Alpine Gold Shilajit – North American Shilajit from the Rocky Mountains Alpine Gold Shilajit is wild harvested from the Rocky Mountains and then processed at low temperatures, and slow filtered to create an exceptionally pure product. Its scientific name is Asphaltum Punjabianum, though it is also known as shilajit, mumiyo, asphaltum, bitumen, or mineral pitch. Shilajit is the result of a multi-century long process of the breaking down of plant matter and minerals. It eventually becomes a sticky, black, tar-like substance that oozes from rocks in high mountain ranges that once turned into a mineral pitch is an amazing addition to one's health routine. Our superior quality, small batch produced Shilajit comes from the Rocky Mountains and is sustainably wild-harvested by hand. It is rich in humic and fulvic acids as well as a host of minerals.  Historically, Shilajit has been used for chronic fatigue syndrome, Alzheimer's, sperm count and motility, blood chemistry, anemia, chronic pain, diabetes, digestive disorders, eczema, osteoarthritis, and ulcerative colitis. In Ayurvedic Medicine, it has historically been used for the urinary system to clear the stagnation of kapha, tone vata, and stimulate the flow of apana vayu, for its effect on the medas dhatu (fat tissue) and the ambuvaha srotas (the channels of water) helping to regulate healthy weight and blood sugar level, to support the health and function of the sex organs, to support rakta dhatu (blood) and asthi dhatu (bone), to balance all three doshas. It is known as yoga vahi—or “joining carrier”—because it can carry and drive nutrients deep into the body. We make no claims as to the uses or efficacy of this product. There may be an enormous difference between what the herb has historically been used for and how any particular Spagyric Preparation of the herb can be used. We aim to begin using IDF Analysis to provide IDF data of the detected phytochemicals and uses of each of our items of Spagyric Pharmacopoeia. Purchases of this product help to fund this enormous research project. You might also enjoy our informative blog article about Shilajit. Reference: Wong, C. (March 2021).
