Single-origin organically grown and sun-dried New Harvest Turmeric, from Burlap & Barrel, has a sweeter taste and a floral flavor without the metallic bitterness found in lower-quality turmeric. This turmeric is free of lead, testing below the detectable threshold of 0.1 parts per million (ppm). It has been tested in an internationally accredited food safety testing lab. Turmeric is called safran in Mauritius and this spice is used in almost all of our Indian dishes. We use it in our Mauritian Curry Powder.
