Reclaimed Wood Booker Console
So what do you do with the century-old floor beams you pull from buildings located all over the borough of Brooklyn? You could do what most contractors do and throw them away, I suppose, or you could do what we've been doing since the day we started -- reclaim them, mill them down and give them a second life. In this case those reclaimed old floor beams have become console tops and shelves, the resulting pieces are as functional and beautiful as they are eco-friendly. The wood is white pine, the frame is blackened steel welded right here in our shop. We finish each piece with poly and hand-rubbed beeswax, the steel gets a clear-coat to protect against future rusting, there are levelers on each foot for those of us with imperfect floors. We're a built-to-order fabrication shop so message us if you want this piece to be modified -- bigger, smaller, different color finish.... whatever you need, we can make it happen.
