Wonderful woodblock print "Beauty in Autumn Suburbs" by Hokuba Teisai (1770-1844). From the series "The Nippon Mokuhan Gashu" (Masterpieces of Old Japanese Colour prints). The publisher is Bijutsusha in Tokyo. Printed in 1928. (Showa 3 nen) Truly elegant Bijin print with amazing details. Please see the pictures.  Hokuba was commonly called Gorohachi Arisaka. Being blessed with artistic skill from a child, he studied painting under Hokusai. His genius was widely  known by assisting Buncho Tani in his works of designs for elaborate drawing, Technique: Woodblock Paper size: 7 and 3/4 inches by 12 inches (19.6 x 30.5 cm)Signed: Teisai with a red seal on the bottom of the image.Condition: The print is in excellent condition. The print came off from the original presentation folder.
