- Girl with Shawl, Half-Figure - Van Gogh, 1960 -

The amazing woodblock print "Onna no kao" (Girl with Shawl, Half-Figure - Van Gogh) is by Gihachiro Okuyama (1907-1981). This rare print is a representation of Van Gogh's realism artwork, "Girl with Shawl, Half-Figure". The original artist's name "ゴッホ”(Gogh), the title in Japanese, Pencil-signed "Gihachiro Okuyama" on the bottom margin. Dated "Showa 35 nen 6 gatsu 4 kka" (June 4th, 1960) and "Okuyama Gihachiro jizuri" (Printed by Gihachiro Okuyama) on the right margin. Gihachiro Okuyama produced wonderful woodblock print series of famous European paintings. This print is one of them.
